Dr. Levitan received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Brandeis University. He then went on to attain his Medical Degree from Boston University School of Medicine, and subsequently completed his Family Medicine residency at Brown University. During his residency, Dr. Levitan was trained in a wide range of family practice areas including pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric medicine, as well as women’s health. Before Dr. Levi tan’s allopathic medical training, he was a Shiatsu and Japanese bodywork practitioner. His interest in Eastern thought and philosophy has lead him to study and practice acupuncture, cranial sacral therapy and mind/body medicine. More recently, his interests have turned to functional medicine, including nutrition, allergies and heavy metal toxicity. Dr. Levitan holds a black belt in Tae Kwan Do and has been actively practicing Chi Qong for the last 10 years. |
