Chiropractic is defined as a healthcare profession that focuses on the proper function of the spinal column and nervous system and their relationship to overall health. The primary philosophy of chiropractic is that misalignments of the vertebrae can cause interference to the nervous system thereby resulting in decreased function of the body. These misalignments are corrected by gentle adjustments of the vertebrae to remove nerve irritation and allow the body to heal itself naturally and function at a near optimal level. Chiropractic has been demonstrated to be effective helping people of all ages from infants to the elderly with a variety of health issues.
