Philosophy of Care:

“I am a conventionally-trained (Internal Medicine) Primary Care Physician with an interest in Alternative and Functional Medicine.  I try to help patients understand where their medical condition best fits on the spectrum of care, between conventional medicine - best for many things, but not for everything - and alternative/functional medicine, which can provide a valuable set of tools for dealing with a number of challenging and common clinical conditions.  Most of all, I think it helps to have a Primary Care Physician who understands at least a little bit about other medical modalities and who is willing to step outside the conventional medicine box a little to provide what I hope is a customized approach that respects the patient’s values while remaining firmly rooted in evidence-based, common-sense medicine.”
