Conference

One hundred physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and others interested in practical approaches to integrative medicine gathered for a day-long conference co-sponsored by the Marino Center for Integrative Health and the Massachusetts Medical Society.  Up to seven continuing medical education units were awarded to physicians.  The conference was organized by a Marino Center committee headed by Anne McCaffrey, MD, MPH,  the Marino Center's Director of Research and Education and Medical Director-elect and Brent Bauer, MD, Director of Complementary and Integrative Medicine program at the Mayo Clinic.  David Eisenberg, MD, Director of the Harvard Medical School Division for Research and Education in Complementary and Integrative Medical Therapies, delivered a thought-provoking keynote address on The Field of Integrative Medicine: Reflections on the Past, Present and Future. 

The conference was sponsored by Vive Communications, Boston Pain Care Center, and Mt. Auburn Hospital.
